The Weirdest Date Ever?
I wish there were more witnesses…
I generally call these “Stories from the Vault” but this one just happened and oh my, it was so strange. You’ll have to bear with me as I spool out this tale, because it has gaps. That’s part of the nature of the weirdness. I have however, compared notes with my partner who was there, and our friend we were texting. I’ll also note where some errors in judgment were made…and flag those for shared learning. That being said, no one was injured and nothing bad actually happened. (Just some flashbacks to other unfortunate incidents…)
Background: I am a person who believes that much time can be saved with proper vetting of people prior to dates. I am The Survey Girl, after all, and I generally rebuff any attempts to suggest this is too much effort to expect. Polyamorous dating is a more complicated and more sophisticated endeavor than heterosexual dating-to-marry. You need to ask good questions, know what you’re looking for and assess the match carefully. I am strongly opposed to first date hook ups and need it to be a chemistry check with no obligation.
